Who We Are
Fuzzy Lake and JoAnn Fiorello are a dedicated team with extensive expertise in crisis intervention and grief counseling. They have over 30 years of combined experience supporting first responders and individuals in high-stress environments. They have served on prominent crisis management teams, including Fuzzy’s tenure with the Indiana State Police CISM team and co-founding the East Central Indiana CISM team, which now comprises 53 members serving seven counties. They have attained credentials, including a master’s degree in Addiction Intervention and Grief Counseling, along with certifications in professional chaplaincy, crisis intervention, and grief work. They have developed comprehensive training programs, offering courses in managing school crises, individual and group crisis intervention, and peer counseling. They have also created innovative interventions such as HELPS in Crisis and Crisis and Grief in the Church training, designed to equip communities with tools to alleviate stress and compassion fatigue, ensuring effective support during challenging times.
