About Fuzzy Lake, MDiv., CPC, CGW, CCISM, CRTS
Fuzzy is a child of God who happens to be in recovery. Oct. 12th, 2026, it will be 42 years of sobriety.
Fuzzy has an MDiv, in Addiction Intervention and Grief Counseling, along with certifications as a Certified Profession Chaplain, Certified Grief Worker, Certified in Critical Incident Stress Management, and has a certification in Religious Trauma. Fuzzy has spent his early career in the business field while doing bi-vocational pastoring and volunteer chaplain with the local police, fire, hospital, and Indiana State Police.
Fuzzy has spent the last 35 years working with those in recovery and those that are grieving, including a 7-year job as the Spiritual Care Coordinator for a 36 bed Hospice House. Fuzzy has spent the last 35 years teaching Crisis Intervention and Grief Work.
He currently runs an organization with his business partner, JoAnn Fiorello, called Lake Cism, LLC. Together they train both in person and virtually all over the world to folks who need training in how to deal with people who are grieving, hurting, and in recovery. Fuzzy and JoAnn are both trained in the intervention called Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol, or ASAP. This intervention is an individual and/or group intervention to help those work through a trauma or stressful event without reliving the event. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to go through the intervention.
Currently Fuzzy is rolling out a brand-new training called; “Reversing Setbacks (formerly Relapse) in the Recovery World-The Heart of Why Setbacks Happens and What Can Be Done to Prevent It.” Fuzzy has a heart for the hurting and the lost in the world and will continue to work in the field to share his knowledge as long as he can.
Fuzzy currently resides in South Carolina with his spouse of 41 years, has 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

About JoAnn Fiorello, MDiv., CPC, CGW, CCISM
JoAnn Fiorello joined Lake CISM, LLC in 2024 and has played a key role in advancing and expanding the organization’s training programs. Her diverse professional background includes experience in marketing, telecommunications, sales, and hospice care. Through both professional and personal experience, JoAnn has developed a deep understanding of crisis intervention and grief support. She is passionate about serving those who care for others, particularly first responders and healthcare professionals.
JoAnn has been instrumental in the development of a comprehensive day-long training program designed for church and community members. This program equips participants with practical skills to cope with crisis and grief in their own lives while also providing effective support to others facing similar challenges. She has also collaborated closely with Fuzzy Lake in the development of the Helping Employees Learn Practical Solutions in Crisis© (H.E.L.P.S. in Crisis©) training program. Unlike traditional interventions within the core CISM framework, H.E.L.P.S. in Crisis© is uniquely designed for use in both one-on-one and group crisis situations.
As an ICISF Certified Instructor, JoAnn is qualified to teach Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Advanced Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Group Crisis Intervention, and Crisis Informed Peer Para-Counseling. Throughout her career, she has been drawn to teaching, mentoring, and developing others. She finds great fulfillment in helping individuals grow and succeed in their roles.
JoAnn is also passionate about wellness and has recently become an affiliate with a natural bioactive precision peptide company. JoAnn loves having products that support what she teaches in crisis intervention and they work!!!
JoAnn holds a Master in Divinity degree from Saint James College Seminary and is an ordained minister. She serves as a Lieutenant and CISM Team Leader / Trainer of the IFOC 39th Corps in Myrtle Beach. JoAnn resides in South Carolina with her spouse, Frank, with whom she has shared more than 15 years of marriage.
