Description

H.E.L.P.S. © in Crisis is a cutting-edge, innovative peer led CISM intervention that is designed for those who might have a crisis, trauma or event at work or at home. It can be used either individually or in a group setting. Modeled after the post action staff support intervention called “PASS” or debrief the debriefer, which was designed by Dennis Potter and introduced at the third ICISF World Congress, it was designed to be used by the CISM team after a CISD.

H.E.L.P.S. © in Crisis is a simple and easy to use intervention, designed by Fuzzy Lake, that helps reduce secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout. It can also help reduce employee turnover. Once you are taught how to conduct the intervention you can help those in need and yourself, either individually or in a group setting anytime, anywhere!

Included in the training will be role-plays so you can see firsthand how it works.

Learning Objectives:

  • What is it designed for?
  • How many can participate?
  • Who can lead a H.E.L.P.S?
  • What are the guidelines?
  • What are the benefits?
